Informationswissenschaft: „Informationswissenschaft“ wird als „IT“ ausgesprochen. Es bezieht sich auf alles, was mit Computertechnologie zu tun hat, beispielsweise Netzwerke, Hardware, Software, das Internet oder die Menschen, die mit diesen Technologien arbeiten. Informationswissenschaft sollte nicht mit Informationstheorie oder Bibliothekswissenschaft verwechselt werden. Informationstheorie ist die Untersuchung eines bestimmten mathematischen Informationskonzepts.
