Organizational Learning Process in Single, Double and Triple Loop Companies in a Post-Crisis Situation in the Textile Sector in Tunisia

It is an “exploratory” research that tries to determine the most adopted organizational learning processes in postcrisis Textile companies in Tunisia to guarantee their continuity and their survival.
The research methodology is summarized by the following steps:
• Exploratory qualitative study (non-formal because of the refusal to allow recorded interviews).
• Quantitative survey administered by questionnaire.
• Sample of 60 textile companies in Tunisia.
• In order to verify the reliability and validity of the scales of measurement the approach followed during this research respects Churchill’s paradigm.
• Assumptions were tested by regressions using SPSS 14 software.
This article aims to:
• Describe and develop an understanding of the single, double and triple loop learning processes used in the management of post-crisis organizations.
• Determine the process typically adopted by leaders in post-crisis situations.
• To test the validity of the hypotheses.
• Provide benchmarks, methods, and tools for leaders to help them develop management plans to prevent, respond to, and respond to crises.

Determinants of Business Entrepreneurship Success in Sudan

Entrepreneurs are involved into activities contributing to the development of economy of any country. They face many challenges that associated with the internal and external conditions. So the present study seeks to identify the determinants contributing to the success of entrepreneurship in Sudan. A questionnaire was collected from 62 entrepreneurs; the results show that the main determinants of entrepreneurship success in Sudan are access to finance, management abilities, government policies, and network support in addition to entrepreneurs’ personality traits and attitudes. The results also show that there are different motives for starting a business but success stories of other entrepreneurs are of importance. The study recommends that these determinants of success should be considered while developing policies and strategies for promoting entrepreneurship in Sudan.

Commercialising Technical Innovation: Role of Business Incubators in Kerala

Kerala Start up Mission (KSUM) is designed to provide a springboard to budding entrepreneurs who wish to launch themselves into the world of technology based business careers. Entrepreneurs’ bright ideas to develop a product or service using advanced technology solutions can find a fertile ground in Kerala start-up Mission. Since start-up companies lack many resources, experience and networks, business incubators (BIs) provide a service which helps them get through initial hurdles in starting up a business. These hurdles include space, funding, legal, accounting, computer services and other prerequisites to running the business. The study focusses on the role of four BIs in Kerala. The significant finding is the remarkable role played by incubators in promoting entrepreneurship by commercialising technical innovations.

An Analysis of Bookkeeping Practises of Micro-Entrepreneurs in the Retail Clothing Industry in Cape Town, South Africa

Bookkeeping is regarded as a day-to-day function of a business operation in tracking cash inflows and cash out flows. Micro-entrepreneurs emanate from a wide range of disciplines with or without bookkeeping knowledge; however, bookkeeping execution is inevitable in operating a sustainable business. The purpose of this paper was to analyse micro-entrepreneurs’ bookkeeping practises within the retail clothing industry in Cape Town. Data were collected by means of questionnaires under positivism approach. The sample size was n=62. The Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) was used to quantify and analyse data collected. The findings showed that most micro-entrepreneurs do practise bookkeeping manually, but do not complete the bookkeeping cycle. Worryingly was that was that most microentrepreneurs indicated that decision making is based on maintained financial records. This translates to unstainable poor decision-making emanating from incomplete bookkeeping records which may ultimately result in business failure. To this effect, it was recommended that micro-entrepreneurs’ should engage on complete bookkeeping practises so that business decisions are based on accurate financial records hence insightful quality business decision outcome towards business success.

Towards Creating an Entrepreneur Competencies Model

Small and medium-sized enterprises play an important role in developing the economies of nations as literature reveals. Through literature review and SME input, the researchers were able to identify several competencies that contribute to achieving Entrepreneurs Success. The statistical results show two most significant competency groups impacting the Entrepreneurial success: Human Relations Competencies affecting three distinct success dimensions: Ability to attract outside capital, Growth in Revenues and Growth in Customer Base. While the second was the Business and Management Competencies affecting three distinct success parameters: Ability to attract outside capital, Growth in Revenues and Providing Value Added Product or Service towards Creating an Entrepreneur Competencies Model.

Evaluated Strategies to Increase the Attraction and Retention of Competencies in Algerian Companies

The aim of this paper knowledge the basic concepts related to attracting competence to highlight its importance for Algerian companies and identify the reality of the Algerian company and its ability to attract the necessary competencies and maintain them through An Empirical Study. We finished our article by an empirical study to test our hypotheses. We choose the sample composed of 100 Algerian companies. We used regression in Analyse data by spss V 24.0 software. The alpha Cronbach’s coefficient of the items equal (0.975). According to the results, the variables (the wage system (0.196), the career development (0.246), the institution cultural (0.296) and the institution reputation (0.128) affecting the maintenance of competencies. In addition, the worker’s competency formation (0.114), training (0.678), motivation (0.313), and climate organization (0.227) have an effect on the maintaining competencies process in Algeria companies.

An Appraisal of Entrepreneurial Skills of Construction Professionals to the Development of the Service Sector in Nigeria

Construction industry is one of the important service sectors in Small and Medium Enterprises (SME). Construction industries are not “footloose” hence all progress that is made in improving the sustainability and performance of the construction industry benefit the region and countries they operate in. The aim of this study is to investigate the entrepreneurial skills of construction professionals in the built environment of the development of the service sector in Nigeria. This was achieved by establishing innovativeness of construction professionals, determining willingness take risk by construction professionals and the roles of human resource management of construction professionals actually contribute to the development of the service sector in Nigeria. In this study construction professionals were restricted to only those in the built environment, consist of Architects, Builders, Estate valuers, Land Surveyors, Quantity Surveyors and Town Planners. The questionnaire was designed based on open-ended format of the item used. A total of 304 questionnaires were sent out to registered professionals in the built environment in Abuja and Lagos towns were construction of the built environment is visible. 204 questionnaires representing 67% of the sample were returned and deemed useable. The data were analyzed using percentage, graph and linear regression for descriptive and inferential analyses, respectively. Study established that majority (83.8%) of the respondents agreed that entrepreneurial skills of construction professionals was statistically significant in explaining the development of the service sector in Nigeria. The study concluded that entrepreneurial skills of construction professionals contribute to the development of the service sector in Nigeria. The study recommends capacity building as this is paramount to development of the service sector in Nigeria through training, workshop etc.
