Posterior Urethral Valves (PUVs) are a significant congenital anomaly in male infants, leading to a spectrum of urinary tract complications. This article explores the pathophysiology, diagnostic methods, and management strategies for PUVs. By reviewing current research and clinical practices, we aim to provide a comprehensive understanding of PUVs and their impact on urological health in boys.

Synucleinopathies, a group of neurodegenerative disorders characterized by the accumulation of alpha-synuclein aggregates, include Parkinson’s Disease (PD), Dementia with Lewy Bodies (DLB), and Multiple System Atrophy (MSA). Despite the shared pathological hallmark of alpha-synuclein deposition, these disorders exhibit significant clinical variability. This research article explores the neuropathological factors contributing to this variability, including differences in alpha-synuclein aggregation patterns, regional brain involvement, and interactions with other neurodegenerative processes. By integrating findings from recent studies, we aim to elucidate how these factors influence clinical presentation and progression across different synucleinopathies.

Schizophrenia, a complex and chronic mental disorder, has long been studied for its underlying neuropathological mechanisms. Recent advances in neuroimaging, molecular biology, and genetics have provided new insights into the disease's pathology. This review critically assesses recent data on the neuropathology of schizophrenia, addressing the controversies and evolving interpretations. We discuss findings related to structural brain abnormalities, neurotransmitter dysregulation, and genetic contributions. By synthesizing these perspectives, we aim to clarify the current understanding of schizophrenia’s neuropathology and suggest future research directions.
